February 1927, following the death of her father, Madeleine Péricourt (Léa Drucker, Roxane, AF FFF20) must suddenly take on his vast financial empire – but as deception begins to brew on the horizon, it's unclear how long her reign will last...
Driven by greed and distrust, the men once closest to the family begin to sense an opportunity to cash in on her new, vulnerable position. The group begins to plan a terrible coup right from under her nose, edging Madeleine towards a potentially catastrophic investment.
Treachery, it seems, is in the air as Madeleine and her allies begin to see the cracks forming, bearing witnesses of the colours of the fire that will come to ravage in the turbulent, interwar period in Europe.
When faced with the prospect of losing it all, Madeleine must rely on her intelligence, determination and the help of true friends to rebuild her family legacy and extract revenge.
Based on the novel by Pierre Lemaitre and a sensational follow up to his excellent work as a writer in See You Up There (AF FFF21), THE COLOURS OF FIRE is a masterfully told historical drama, touching on a broad dissection of challenging, all too human themes - from debilitating grief to love and loss.
