Experience one week in the extraordinary, yet ordinary life of Mr. Moriyama, the Japanese art, architecture and music enlightened amateur who occupies Moriyama House. One of Tokyo’s most iconic residences, this seminal contemporary architectural space was built by Pritzker-Prize winner Ryue Nishizawa (SANAA).
Within the walls of this intimate and experimental microcosm, filmmaker Ila Bêka documents in a very spontaneous and personal way the unique personality of the owner: an urban hermit living in a small oasis of peace and contemplation in the heart of Tokyo. From noise music to experimental movies, the film lets us enter the world of Mr. Moriyama’s free spirit, as his living quarters redefine completely the common sense of domestic life.
